Synthetic Mica.

Synthetic micas have higher purity and luster, better resistance, are more stable at high temperatures, such as in cold process soap, but can also be used in glycerin soap (M & P) and hot process (HP ).

They are approved for the lips and can be used in a range of products such as soaps, lip balms, lipsticks, lotions, creams and butters.

Compared to natural mica, synthetic mica offers:

• More consistency
• More whiteness and less heavy metals
• Whiter and cleaner pearls
• High temperature resistance
• Greater reflectivity
• Interference colors with high chroma
• More compressible in pressed powders
• Less fade of metallic colors

The background color of this mica is synthetic, whiter and gives this orange a pure color tone.

Ulilisation:

The use ratio  for soaps is between 1% to 5%, or between 1 to 2 tsp per pound of soap.
For hot or cold process soap: Ratio is about 2 to 5 grams (1 tsp) per 454 grams (1 lb) of your soap batter.
For melt and pour soap: Ratio is about 1 to 3 grams (½ tsp) per 454 grams (1 lb) of your base.
