Violet NO.2 is a pure dye, not a lake dye. It is messier to work with than the lake dyes, we recommend you to wear gloves when handling the coloring powder as it may stain, you also need far less of the material. This dye is water soluble. When dissolved the color will be a nice dark violet in the water. This dye is popular in shampoo formulation to lighten gray hair. You can bloom the dye for more vibrant color in your bath bombs.

We recommend using 0.2 to 4 grams (1/8 to 2 teaspoons) per 1 kg of your bath bomb mix.

Adjust the amount to get the effect you are looking for.

Nail polish: 5% color-95%polish

Soap: 1g to 7g per 500g of oils. (Liquid soap: blend the dye in water before adding to your liquid soap)

Soap melt and pour, HP and CP, colors will bleed and rub off.

Always test the colorant with your products.
