Bentonite Clay

Bentonite clay, is known for its excellent absorption properties and is also considered a healing clay. Coming from the United States, it is extracted directly from the earth, it is a fine and very soft clay. Its coloring can vary from light gray to off-white. It is filled with many minerals and with little or no odor. This clay is a powerful oxygen carrier, which makes your skin look supple and hydrated. When wet and applied to your skin, it acts like a magnet and attracts toxins and impurities through absorption to leave skin feeling refreshed and mineralized.

It is commonly used in soap, face, hair and body masks, bath treatments, body powders, deodorants and shaving products.

Uses

Clay per 454g of bath bomb mix:
0.5g Bentonite Clay

Melt and pour soap: Clay mix per 454g of soap base:
1.5g Bentonite Clay
15ml isopropyl alcohol 99%

Cold and hot saponified soap: Clay mix per 454g of soap base:
3g of Bentonite Clay
30ml distilled water

As a mask:
Put Bentonite Clay in a non-metallic dish, pour lukewarm water, stir until you get a creamy consistency, apply to your skin and leave on for 5-20 minutes, rinse and pat dry.

As a clarifying hair mask:
1 cup of Bentonite Clay,
1 cup of water and ½ cup of apple cider vinegar.
Mix everything together and apply it to your locks from root to tip. Leave it on for a few minutes and rinse well with clean water.

Recommendations

The dosage suggested above is for information only more or less can be used according to your recipes we suggest you always carry out final tests with your products.

The clay should be mixed with water before adding to the cold and hot soap.
This extra amount of water in your soap will help mix the clay into the soap paste and will also prevent the clay from cracking your soap.
More or less clay can be added to your bases to achieve the desired color. Our white kaolin clay is natural and does not contain any coloring, it is a very pale colored powder, which will give a soft white to grayish color to your soaps depending on the color of your oils.

Store this product in a dry place away from direct sunlight.
Store it in an airtight container.
Never use a spoon or any wet or damp utensil to remove the powder from its container.
Avoid metallic instruments and dishes to avoid any reaction with the clay.
Keep the clay away from moisture.
